Care Hospitals announced the launch of a non-surgical weight loss programme Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG) that promises to address the issue of obesity without an actual surgery.
According to doctors, ESG is a minimally invasive procedure that has an ability to reduce the size of the stomach using an endoscopic device without the need for surgery.
“ESG could be just a perfect procedure that is completely effective, safe, and has excellent results because it limits the capacity to eat. However, this unique procedure must be complemented with commitment towards healthier lifestyle,” said Dr Mohit Bhandari, who has conducted over 12,000 bariatric surgeries.
The noted bariatric surgeon said that adopting an
Exercise routine and following a healthy diet after the ESG procedure would benefit obese people and those with heart disease, strokes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and type 2 diabetes.
The non-surgical procedure has minimum complications, shows improvements on co-morbidities and helps in significant weight loss within the first few months, he added.
